Wouldn't it be lovely if the world stopped, just for a few days, so you could catch up? Not catch up on the laundry and the paperwork, but reconnect with what is really important to you - your harp playing?

I thought that sounded like such a good idea that I decide to make it happen. Okay - I can't stop the world, but I can provide you with a few focused days of breathing room, a time when we can work together to make your harp playing the strongest it's ever been and more enjoyable than you perhaps thought possible.

That's the power of working together - you and me -
at Harp Mastery Retreat 2017!  - Anne

At Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, comfort and convenience combine to create an unexpected retreat just minutes from Penn State University.
Set among 1,500 acres of scenic Pennsylvania forest, Toftrees features a beautiful championship golf course and is just minutes from the vibrant culture of a charming and friendly college town. In addition to the fitness center, complimentary parking and free Wi-Fi, guests will enjoy The Field Restaurant, which features a farm-to-table menu served in a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

The focus of this retreat is you: your playing, your music, your practicing, your growth as a harpist and a musician. In our group sessions, we will work through my signature PEAC system, with "hands-on-the-harp" learning to streamline and power-up your practice strategies, develop those essential musicianship skills (like sightreading!), and help you determine your next steps to set and achieve the harp goals which are most important to you.

And because our group size is limited, you won't have to be content with "cookie-cutter," "one-size-fits-all" solutions, because no single solution is right for every harpist. We will work together to make sure that you leave the retreat feeling empowered, enlightened and energized, confident that you can implement the plans we have created just for you.

All retreat participants also receive:
 - An invitation to a pre-retreat group strategy call so that you know you will get every ounce of benefit from the retreat.
- A private 20 minute one-on-one lesson with me.
- A personalized "Assessment and Attention" checklist so you know what you should be working on in order to be the harpist you want to be.

IMPORTANT: This retreat is designed for you - to help you wherever you are in your harp journey right now. If you've been playing the harp for at least a year, you will find the encouragement, insight and inspiration you're looking for.
DOWNLOAD THE SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTSPlus for those of you who register early, there are special bonuses! You will find them all on the registration page - just click the button below!

What is included in the retreat registration?
In addition to the retreat program workshops and activities and bonuses listed above, the registration price includes hotel for four nights (Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) and meals from dinner Saturday through breakfast on Wednesday.
What is not included in the retreat registration?
Your travel to the venue, any additional personal charges for hotel amenities or additional meals or alcoholic beverages.
Can my husband, significant other or friend come along with me?
Of course! There is a “Non-Attendee Guest Ticket” which will allow your companion to share your room and all meals with us, as well as to attend the special evening events. Besides the hotel offerings, there is plenty in the area for them to explore while we are harping.
Do I have to bring my harp?
No, we can arrange for rental instruments, which naturally will involve an extra fee for you. If you indicate on the reservation form that you would like to rent a harp for the retreat, we will be in touch with you directly to make those arrangements. Of course, it’s always have to have your harp with you if possible!
If I bring my harp, will it be secure?
Your harp’s safety is important to us. Our conference room will be locked and secure.
What music or equipment will I need to bring?
Bring along some pieces that you are currently working on or would like to begin learning, or any music you would like help with or advice on. If you’re bringing your harp (not renting one), please bring your bench and a music stand. You know the drill :-)
What can I expect in the sessions?
These workshop sessions are different from most others you may have experienced. We keep lectures and note-taking to a minimum and push experiential, hands-on learning to the maximum. Each session has a single focus topic related to the foundational skills and techniques every harpist needs to maintain forward momentum and grow their harp happiness.
Will I be able to have a private lesson with Anne?
All participants will have a 20 minute private lesson with Anne. How much can you get done in 20 minutes? If you’ve never had a lesson with her before, you will be amazed!
Do I have to pay in full now?
No, you can choose to pay in full or to just pay a $400 deposit. Choose the option you prefer on the “Tickets” page. Payment in full is due by September 25, 2017.
What if I have to cancel my reservation?
Reservations and deposits will be fully refundable until August 25th, and 50% refundable until September 28th. After September 28th, any refunds will be at our discretion.
Can I extend my stay at the hotel? Or can I arrive a day early?
If you would like to extend your stay at the resort, either by arriving a day earlier or staying additional days, we will be happy to work with the hotel to accommodate your request. Please let us know, rather than contacting the hotel directly. Charges for the additional days will be your responsibility, of course.
I want to share a room but I don’t have a roommate.
We love to help you make new friends! We will match you up with another attendee. Just register using the “Shared Occupancy” ticket.

What is the PEAC signature system?
In brief, it’s the three ingredients you must have to make consistent progress in your harp playing: Proper Practice, Essential Skills, Achievable Goals which give you the Confidence to make music beautifully. You can find out more in this video series.
